Benny is Kurawali from the Diamantina River and Mbarbaram of the Atherton Tablelands. Benny is a Business owner, entrepreneur and comedian. Benny’s background is in Human Resources specialising in Aboriginal Workforce Development. He has a wide range of experience with diversity workforce development programs, Aboriginal culture competency frameworks, community engagement consultation and small business development and ventures.

 

His passion for Indigenous Australians and the world of comedy came together in 2014 when he performed at his first open mic. Since then Benny has developed his unique comedic talents. He has been a 2016 and 2017 Deadly Funny National Finalist, 2018 runner up ACT Raw Comedy, organised and toured the 2018 sell out season of Koori and The Cracker and hosted the sell-out Koori Comedy show at the Canberra Comedy Festival. Benny is currently writing several screen projects and performing at live events.
