Samantha Bliss Samantha is proud Torres Strait Islander woman who grew up in Mackay. Samantha has been a uniformed officer with the Queensland Police Service for over 30 years. She has been responsible for leading the implementation of projects and initiatives on Indigenous engagement across the Queensland Police Service. Her role is accountable for the design and delivery of a First Nations Engagement Strategy and Whole of Government Plans/Strategies. She is responsible for developing strategic partnerships with First Nations communities and groups, non-Government organisations, State and Federal Government Department and community partners. Samantha is a former Queensland and Australian Rugby League representative and is currently a member of the Indigenous Woman’s All Stars support staff. She is also a Director on the Queensland Rugby League Board. She is actively involved in her community, supporting many young Indigenous people to pursue their educational and sporting aspirations.
