Sonia Briston Sonia is a Larrakia woman, Darwin born and bred. Her work history is broad and taken her all over the Northern Territory with the odd travels interstate. Sonia has worked in numerous roles within the Community Services and Development sector, specifically with the South Australian Department of Education Online Learning, Catholic Care NT - which included working in the community of Daly River and also holding the position of Site Coordinator in Katherine. Sonia has worked with the Northern Territory Government with Aboriginal Interpreter Services and Women’s Policy. She was an Employment Consultant for ALPA in Milingimbi, East Arnhem and worked at the Nhulunbuy Community Neighbourhood Centre and the Crisis Shelter in Gove. Sonia is a single mum to Timothy, and 3 fury dogs, Yoko, Kiba and Coco. She enjoy’s being involved with her family football club in Darwin, the Buffalos, where she watched her uncles play the game as a little girl and now she gets to see her son play.
