Charlie Jia, Yindinji (North Queensland) and Badu Island (Torres Straits), joined the AILC in August 2020 as a trainer and Program Manager, Queensland.  He is based in Tugun, Gold Coast.

Charlie promotes, organises and supports the running of accredited and non accredited AILC courses.  He also manages the SE QLD Youth Program and assists Clinton in the delivery of the Certificate II in Indigenous Leadership

Charlie is a real people’s person with extensive professional and social networks. A successful entrepreneur, Charlie’s business acumen is backed by a social conscience .  He is a leader amongst his peers, and constantly tests the waters by an “outside of the box” approach to developing solutions. When he is not shaping opportunities for clients, he enjoys researching his family history, travel and meeting interesting people. Charlie is the Founder and Chief Solutions Consultant of Karma Lifestyles, as well as the founding member and inaugural chairperson of the South East Queensland Indigenous Chamber of Commerce. More recently, he managed the MOMENTIM project for the Institute for Urban Indigenous Health as the Men’s Mental Health Regional Coordinator and has just completed a stint as the Institute’s Men’s Health Project Officer.  In 2019, Charlie was an ambassador (the Grey One) for the Movember Foundation Global Campaign.
