What is a Unique Student Identifier (USI) and do I have to create one? If you are undertaking nationally recognised training with the AILC or any other registered training organisation (RTO), you will need to have a unique student identifier. A USI gives you access to your online USI account which is made up of ten numbers and letters. It will look something like this: 4BC99HY2B4 You can access your USI account online anywhere anytime by using an electronic device. You will be required to obtain a USI prior to commencement of course. The AILC will not be able to print your qualification without a USI. To create your USI, you will need to go to www.usi.gov.au Manage Cookie Preferences
