The AILC is proud to partner with Calleo Indigenous to fund more scholarships in our Leading the Way program.

Calleo is funding ten scholars each year to undertake either a Certificate II or Certificate IV in Indigenous Leadership with the AILC.

About Calleo Indigenous

Calleo Indigenous was established to deliver skilled resources and specialist recruitment services to government and corporate enterprises in Australia.  The organisation is a strong supporter of Indigenous skills development, including the enhancement of employment and career advancement opportunities.  The organisation is 50% owned by the Calleo Group and 50% owned by Ngunnawal businesswoman Melinda (Mel) Brown.

Since its founding in 2019, the Calleo Indigenous Community Fund has provided over $490,000 to assist First Nation people. The Fund focuses on five key sectors that assist in reconciliation and ‘Closing the Gap’ for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People.

  1. Education and Training
  2. Healthcare and Well-Being
  3. Leadership
  4. Capability Building of Indigenous Projects/Organisations
  5. Sports Development

The AILC is very excited to be working with Calleo Indigenous to create more opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to further develop their leadership skills.
